Although the Bustler services from The Hayes in Cardiff to the centre of Penarth ran nine times an hour, the P3 to Castle Avenue was but hourly, alternating with a very similar P6 to give a thirty minute headway.

These services didn't use the bus station but passed alongside on Wood Street, where 12 is seen heading to Penarth.
