The narrowness of the car compared to the Blackpool streamliners is very apparent in this end view. The body width is so narrow that it isn't obvious that the gauge is also narrow - only 4'-0".

Although the location looks busy, with quite a few prospective passengers waiting for a tram to Blackburn, it is a lot less tranquil nowadays, as the M65 crosses this road just behind where the photographer was stood.
