Subject: Bradford C. T. 587 (HNU 826) Chassis: AEC 661T Body: East Lancs H35/28R Location: Bradford, Thornton Road Date: c.1959
587 stands at the stop for Pasture Lane short workings, which was a little further up Thornton Road than the one for the main Clayton service.
It was a regular Bradford practice to match supply to demand by running an increased service over the busier inner section of a route, but many faded away as demand reduced in the 1960s. The Pasture Lane short workings were an exception, though, and remained until the end of trolleybus operation.
