The Skyliner service was subject to revision and around mid-1983 the timetable was revised to allow another service to be introduced, the 525. This served Penpisgah and Aubrey Road which had previously been served by the 525 and 529 and both Skyliner services could be worked by a single bus.

On this day it is being worked by MD1392 which is entering Tonypandy here, having come from the Sandy Bank Road terminus at Ystrad Rhondda.
