Subject: Bradford C. T. 802 (HUF 49)
Chassis: BUT 9611T
Body: Weymann H33/26R
Location: Bradford, Forster Square
Date: early-1960s

802 has arrived in Forster Square, presumably to take up an afternoon peak working on the 40. The wiring here didn't allow it to overtake the Roe-bodied BUT in front which will be on the Bradford Moor service so it has to wait for that to depart before it can turn into Bolton Road where the Saltaire stand was.

This would have been the most efficient way of getting from Thornbury depot to join the Bolton Road services at this time of day, as demand would be from the city. Once Forster Square closed to trolleybuses in November 1962 the only way to get from depot to route was along Killinghall Road to Bolton.
