353 takes the bend between Codnor and Codnor Gate and is just a few minutes from its destination at Ripley. There was a passing loop on this bend in tram days.
Condor Gate is believed to be so named due to the presence there of a toll gate on the Cromford to Langley Mill turnpike road.
353 migrated to Bradford with the rest of the trolleybus fleet in 1953, becoming 770 in that fleet and remaining in service there until October 1963. After four years of storage it was bought for preservation. It has moved around the country a lot since but I believe it is now with the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft, although not currently stored on the site.
