Cardiff bought quite a few Guys in the mid-fifties and was to return to the marque again in the 1960s. They seem to have been solid and dependable and were probably also quite economical on fuel, especially on a longer run like this service, all of 25 miles long.

The blind appears incorrectly laid out at first with the destination not aligned with the intermediate points, but the destination is centred over the whole display. Earlier blinds had larger numbers with all three place names aligned.
