Despite the livery 2109 is most definitely working from Porth here, seen in the depot entrance having called in whilst working a 131 to Maerdy.
The 131 was a short working of the 132 service that ran just between Porth and Maerdy, supplementing the 132 and X8 to give between them a 15-minute headway between the two places. It was a descendant of the Rhondda Transport inter-valley service R31 which ran from Tonypandy via Porth to Maerdy.
2109 would be withdrawn by the end of the year. It subsequently passed to Pete's Travel of West Bromwich.
