Subject: Rhondda 447 (447 GTX) Chassis: AEC Regent V 2D3RA Body: Metro-Cammell H39/31F Location: Cardiff bus station Date: early 1960s
447 in fairly early days on what would be its regular service. The advert on the side was not frequently seen on Rhondda Buses - Stan Cottle was one of the larger independent bookmakers and was based on Cowbridge Road West in Ely.
Behind 447 is 425 working one of the journeys to Rhydlafar Hospital. These first appeared in timetables around the time the hospital opened but then disappeared again after 1956, they may have been a victim of the Suez crisis. They only appear in the timetables again in 1965, but not everything Rhondda worked got into the timetable!
