By this stage H7765 was looking a little past its prime but still extolled the merits of Hedges L260 snuff as it had done for almost its whole life. This bus never carried the NBC Rhondda fleet name and has an incomplete Western Welsh one here. It was withdrawn before the year was out.
It is climbing Gelliwastad Road which is a continuation of Catherine Street in the background. Just visible in the left distance is the Co-op store, since demolished and currently a car park.
