Subject: Western Welsh HR269 (VTG 503G)
Chassis: Leyland Atlantean PDR1A/1
Body: Northern Counties H42/31F
Location: Cardiff bus station
Date: 13-Sep-1974

This bus had been a Western Welsh bus for almost four years yet still carries the Rhondda fleet name and has even been given its new number (on a poppy red background!) which it received the previous month. The only other bus that may have carried the Rhondda fleet name at this time would be Tiger Cub XTG 375, little seen in the Rhondda as it was working from Brecon!

From an original slide in the David Beilby collection taken by Robert Edworthy
