Subject: Western Welsh UD4565 (DBO 150C)
Chassis: AEC Reliance 2MU4RA
Body: Plaxton Panorama C40F
Location: Porth depot
Date: mid-1970s

At the time when this coach was new Western Welsh seemed to prefer AECs for their shorter coaches (these were 31'-10" long) and Leylands for longer ones. This example started off as a 36-seater in its first season, then as a 38-seater then later as shown.

It was new in the ivory and blue livery, this batch being the first delivered new in that scheme. It had been downgraded to a dual-purpose vehicle and repainted in this colour scheme in Dec-1973.

It is just passing the small workshop that was at the back of the bottom garage.
