Bournemouth 73 (AEL 401) and 134 (BEL 819) pass each other on Christchurch Road in Boscombe on 19-Sep-1935. In the middle is tram 83, the first of a batch of ten "Dreadnought" trams supplied by UEC in 1914. This was already the last tram route and the last tram ran on 8-Apr-1936.
The trolleybuses were both Sunbeam MS2s with Park Royal H31/25D bodies. 73 was delivered to Bournemouth on 13-Jun-1934 and entered service on 22nd of the same month, having already been used for driver training. Chassis number was 12032S. From 13-Dec-1940 until Sep-1942 it was on loan to London (one of eighteen working from Ilford depot on the 691 and 693), then moving to Newcastle, where it helped out until 2-May-1945. It was withdrawn in Mar-1953 and sold in Jul-1953.
134 was delivered on 28-Aug-1935 and entered service on 4-Sep-1935. Chassis number was 12103T. It was withdrawn in Aug-1958 and sold in Jan-1959.
