698 had the shortest time with Rhondda of all the Tigers, with its body being scrapped by early 1994. It's possible that there was an intention to rebody it but that the chassis condition led to decision not to do so.
It is picking up a good number of passengers in Maerdy for the journey over the top to Aberdare.
