Subject: Gelligaer UDC 44 (KTX 244L)
Chassis: Bristol RESL6G
Body: ECW B47F
Location: Treharris, Commercial Terrace
Date: 22-Feb-1973

This was the last of the first batch of three Bristol REs bought by Gelligaer, two more similar batches were to follow with the last not arriving until Rhymney Valley days. The livery made them stand out from the many of the type that could be seen in NBC fleets.

44 has dropped down Commercial Terrace and is about to make a sharp left turn at Glan-y-nant to pass the one abutment remaining, visible on the right, of the bridge that once carried the Pontypool Road to Neath railway line.

Note the bus stop on the left, mounted on the telegraph pole.
