Rhymney Valley 59 has presumably been in an accident requiring replacement of the front dash panel, not doubt rather annoying given that the bus was but four months old. The red colour is likely to be the one of the base colours in which it was moulded by ECW to suit the many red NBC fleets.
59 is well patronised on its working to Bedlinog and is pulling out from behind the Town Hall at the beginning of its journey. The sign to the left has yet to be updated for the new local authority.
