This bus was initially a Leyland demonstrator but in fact didn't operate for anyone apart from Merthyr Tydfil, being purchased after a four month loan. It certainly had an effect on Merthyr Tydfil's vehicle policy as subsequent new vehicle purchases were all Leyland until almost the end of the Corporation's existence in 1974.

A regular vehicle on the Cardiff service it is pictured in Cardiff prior to being fitted with flashing direction indicators in 1962.
