Subject: Western Welsh HR1977 (SKG 898S)
Chassis: Bristol VRT/SL3/501
Body: ECW H43/31F
Location: Pontypridd, Taff Street
Date: 12-Nov-1977

The last two of this initial batch of five VRTs for Western Welsh were not delivered until two months after the first three, in part because at the same time the first batch of five for Red & White were also being delivered, hence HR1977 is still very new in this view. It would only carry a Western Welsh fleet name for about six months, when it was replaced on this side by the Welsh language version of National Welsh - Cymru Cenedlaethol.

For reasons unknown the supply of destination blinds doesn't seem to have been synchronised with these new buses and the presentation of the vehicle is let down by the use of boards behind the windscreen.
