Subject: National Welsh U769 (PKG 625G)
Chassis: Leyland Leopard PSU3A/4R
Body: Marshall B51F
Location: Blaenrhondda, Blaenrhondda Road
Date: 6-Sep-1978

U769 has come across St. Alban's Bridge and is on a works journey to Fernhill Colliery. Behind is evidence of other mine works with the hillside still bearing the scars of Tydraw colliery. Nearer can be seen the bridge which used to carry the Rhondda and Swansea Bay Railway line, closed in 1970 and since removed.

The whole of this batch of Leopards was withdrawn in 1980 except the original 629 which had transferred to South Wales with the Haverfordwest services in 1972.
