45 may be working a school journey but it’s not possible to be sure. This section of road only normally saw Pontypridd buses working to Caerphilly or the Trading Estate.

45 had been new with a 5LW engine but was fitted with a 6LW unit in 1962. By the time of this photograph 45 was the only wartime bus remaining in the fleet.
