Subject: Parfitt, Rhymney Bridge 397 (BYW 397V) Chassis: Leyland National 10351A/2R Body: Leyland National B44F Location: Pontypridd, Taff Street Date: 15–Jun-1996
397 makes an unusual sight in Pontypridd where Parfitt's buses were not normally seen. The problem with this service is that it was worked by both Rhondda Buses and Caerphilly Busways so it isn't easy to determine which depot this bus is working from, not helped by this bus changing base several times in this period.
New as London Transport LS397 it changed depot several times whilst there but was notable for making an aid trip all the way across Europe to Romania in 1994 before it was sold to Parfitt's. It survived to become part of the Stagecoach fleet as their 497.
