Ken was just passing through the Rhondda valley and stopped briefly to photograph 235 at Llwynypia terminus, fortunately for us as it is a rarely-photographed location. His actions certainly caught the attention of those aboard.
Working via Porth to Maerdy, this was the starting point of the service and the significant load is evidence of the importance of this location as an interchange point, particularly for those wishing to travel from further up the Rhondda Fawr towards Trealaw.
