348 is in Red Lion Square (named for obvious reasons) and just joining Market Street. Like much of the route, in tram days the track here was single with quite long gaps between passing places.
The Red Lion is still open but the road in front of it (Derby Road) no longer leads to Derby and is just a short cul-de-sac. The narrow track going of to the right has an unusual name - Bircumshaw's Road.
