These newspapers were founded by Thomas Forman who started the Evening Post, Nottingham's first evening paper, in 1878, adding it to the earlier Nottingham Daily Guardian which first appeared in 1861 and became the Nottingham Guardian in 1905. The Nottingham Evening Post merged with the Nottingham Post in 1963 and is still published today.
