This photograph dates from the short period after the takeover by National Welsh when Taff-Ely was operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Welsh. The vehicles had moved out of Glyntaff depot by this stage and were being operated from Porth.

This was actually the last day of this arrangement as new services started on 23rd October using a new fleet of National Welsh Sherpas, including examples in the blue livery.
