In just two days’ time 3 would become a Taff-Ely bus as Local Government re-organisation took effect from 1st April. It is crossing Machine Bridge in Treforest, quite close to the depot. The bridge is reputed to have got its name from a weighing machine used for incoming iron off the Glamorganshire Canal, headed for the tinplate works that would once have been prominent on the right.
